We’ve been greatly enjoying the HELP(2) charity album here at RTL Today Radio – featuring some of the biggest name in contemporary music and for a good cause, we’ve given its many excellent tracks their fair share of spins.
HELP(2) is the successor to War Child’s first LP, The Help Album (1995), which featured the likes of Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Blur, Oasis, and more. The goal was to raise money and provide aid for children in war-stricken areas – at the time, areas like Bosnia and Herzegovina.

HELP(2) has the same mission statement: to raise funds and provide aid to children caught in war in 2026. War Child International aims to protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict across the globe; they operate in Afghanistan, South Sudan, Ukraine, Gaza, the West Bank, amongst others.

It’s an effort that all the artists on HELP(2) enthusiastically support. Bands like Black Country, New Road, The Last Dinner Party, Big Thief, Pulp, and Wet Leg have all contributed fresh material. Solo efforts feature heavily on the LP, too: Damon Albarn, Grian Chatten, Beth Gibbons, and Cameron Winter also make an appearance.
The whole project is a remarkable musical milestone. Concise and cohesive in its messaging, boasting a diverse yet focused sound, and just an eminently good listen, we’ve been playing HELP(2) tracks since the first single by Arctic Monkeys (their first drop in four years!) came out in January.
If you’ve enjoyed it half as much as we have, you would probably enjoy owning a HELP(2) vinyl LP and and medium-sized t-shirt. We’ve already got our hands on a set, and for a chance to win it we would simply like to know:
