Two suspects arrested over luxury car theft ring in Luxembourg

Two suspects have been arrested over an international network accused of stealing luxury vehicles across Luxembourg, the public prosecutor's office says. Nearly 20 high-end cars, mostly premium SUVs, have been taken in recent months, with losses running into several million euros.

Police, judicial police and the major crime unit identified the pair as key figures in an organised group operating across borders. European arrest warrants were issued, and French police helped detain both suspects in France on July 24. The suspects are expected to be extradited to Luxembourg in the coming weeks.

Searches uncovered advanced specialist equipment designed specifically to bypass security systems and prosecutors say it's the fourth vehicle theft network dismantled in the country in under a year.
