The radar manages to measure the average speed of motorists over a stretch of 3.8 kilometres in both directions.
Motorcycles and cars must respect the maximum speed of 90 km/h, while heavy goods vehicles are limited to 75 km/h. After a test phase, the radar was activated on 15 June.
In the first five days, 121 motorists failed to respect speed limits. 120 drivers were fined with €49, with one receiving a fine of €145 and two demerit points.

In Luxembourg last year, 282,000 vehicles were flashed by a fixed or mobile speed camera, which represents approximately 770 cars per day.
Today, 24 fixed speed cameras and five mobile units are installed in Luxembourg.
Two new mobile radars will soon be operational, which can be placed on trailers where needed.
