
14 new petitions were published on the Chamber of Deputies website on Friday. Each petition needs at least 4,500 signatures before 20 February in order to be subjected to a debate.
One seeks to plant trees as an alternative to the CO2 tax, while another suggests transforming the old Aldringen Post building in the capital into an open space for citizens.
A third requests the installation of speed cameras in villages where motorists frequently ignore the 50 km/h speed limit.
Another petition asks for single parents to be granted more sick leave from their jobs, while a fifth demands the right to extend parental leave in the case of multiple births.
Other petitions published ask to ban the over-the-counter sales of rat poison, reimburse sport coaching sessions and guarantee the journalistic integrity of Radio 100,7.
