Following the government's decision to declare the floods as natural disasters, the Conjuncture Committee organised a special meeting, during which they revised the applications for partial unemployment.

A total of 149 demands were made, out of which 140 were accepted. Six applications failed to fulfill the admission criteria, while three others from the construction sector will be treated under a different support mechanism, as construction sites have been rendered inaccessible by the rain.

Officials further issued a reminder that applications for partial unemployment due to floods can still be filed until 20 August via Guichet.lu.

The next session of the Conjuncture Committee will take place on 24 August.
