A number of serious accidents have taken place on this stretch of road in recent years, which prompted the installation of the fixed speed camera at Plaitrengerhaff.

On Monday, Luxembourg police carried out additional speed checks to see if the 90km/h speed limit was observed by motorists.

No fewer than 16 drivers were caught speeding, ten of whom were driving down the N28 at a speed of 120-140 km/h. This cost them two points on their driver's licences.
