Luxair Group released a statement confirming their positive results, despite difficult conditions. Luxair transported 2.1 million passengers - including Luxair Tours clients - in 2019, constituting 49% of all Findel passengers last year. A total of 15 airlines fly to and from Luxembourg's airport.
While the total number of passengers has stagnated in comparison to the previous year, Luxair Services, having assisted 4.4 million clients, saw an increase of 9% compared to 2018, with the Catering services providing round 2.3 million meals.
LuxairCargo on the other hand was unable to surpass the previous year's exceptional results. Having shipped about 893.000 tons of goods in 2018, the company counts as the 5th largest cargo centre in Europe (in terms of shipment volume).
How these numbers reflect on last year's activity has not yet been announced, as the general shareholders' meeting isn't until May.
