A police patrol was first alerted to the car in question around 3 pm on Wednesday. After stopping the driver in the Gare quarter, it was determined that the vehicle lacked proper registration and the driver a license. The fellow passenger tested positive for illegal substances.
Sniffer dogs were thus brought to the scene, which helped uncover a large sum of fraudulent bank notes, as well as drug-related items. The prosecutor's office ordered the car to be seized and the two passengers to be fined.
