On Tuesday morning23 fines issued during large-scale check in Mertert

On Tuesday morning between 5.00 and 9.00 am, the police carried out a large-scale check in Mertert in collaboration with the Customs and Excise Agency.

The main goal of the operation was to check the validity of mandatory documents and whether motorists who had been banned from driving were still driving.

A number of infringements have been noted, among which:

- three drivers were driving without a driving licence,
- for two vehicles, the tax sticker had expired more than 60 days ago,
- seven motorists were found to not have paid a previously issued fine,
- the tyres of one vehicle did not comply with the legal requirements,
- one driver was caught with his phone at the wheel.

24 police officers and nine customs officers took part in the operation.
