The German company Tilray will become that new supplier. Tilray already supplies the French authorities in the context of a pilot project on cannabis.

The company supplies cannabis produced in Portugal and Canada. The first orders are to be delivered to Luxembourg at the end of September and will then be transferred to hospital pharmacies.

An amount of almost €3 million is earmarked for orders in 2021. This amount corresponds roughly to a quantity of 30 kilos of cannabis for medical use.

The details were provided by Minister of Health Paulette Lenert in response to a parliamentary question by MP Sven Clement from the Pirate Party.
