The Luxembourg Army held its 41st recruitment ceremony at the Diekirch military centre on Friday. Due to the sanitary regulations in force, the ceremony took place in a restricted setting.
48 volunteer soldiers took the military oath, marking the completion of a four-month basic training to prepare them for their future activities in the Army.
Minister of Defence François Bausch held a speech during the ceremony, noting the exceptional circumstances in which the army currently finds itself, with the mission of test centres that begins in a week’s time. He continued to thank the recruits for their commitment to the service of the country.
