A suspect has been identified in connection with two recent cases of sexual assault in Bettembourg. In a statement released on Saturday morning, the public prosecutor announced that a 12-year-old boy has been named as the suspect. The case file has now been handed over to the youth protection department of the public prosecutor's office. Owing to the boy’s age, no further details will be disclosed at this time to protect the minor. The prosecutor also reminded the public of the presumption of innocence.
On 28 August and 2 September, a 19-year-old woman and a girl were sexually harassed, touched, and followed by an unknown person in Bettembourg.
