The victim, a French cross-border worker, fell around three metres from scaffolding and suffered serious injuries.
Despite efforts to revive the 52 year old, he passed away at the scene of the accident.
The public prosecutor's office was informed of the incident, while forensics and the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines examined the site for further details of the tragic accident.
