Three members of staff and five patients have tested positive.
The infections were identified through Covid tests in the context of contact tracing.
All affected persons have been put in isolation.
Patients and staff will now be tested a second time. No further patients will be accepted in the affected departments until a negative test can be confirmed.
Emergencies are being treated by other departments of the CHL.
