Drivers were tested between 6pm and 10.30pm in Troisvierges, Weiswampach, and Clervaux.
Between 11.15pm and 3.30am, police pulled over drivers on route de Longwy and route de Thionville at the height of the montée d'Eich.
No less than 848 drivers had to use to the breathalyzer. The tests came back positive in 9 cases. Three licenses were withdrawn.
