RTL Today
This Monday, the capital will celebrate dthe 92nd edition of the Grande Braderie, where some 200 stalls exhibited their wares on the city's pavements.

A number of Luxembourg City districts transformed into a huge open-air market on Monday, taking place from the central train station, to the city centre's pedestrian zone.

Throughout the day, the city's streets will reduce accessibility to cars and other traffic to create a large pedestrian area, allowing shoppers to peruse the market in a safe and friendly environment.

The city council has encouraged visitors to make use of public transport where possible, or use the Park + Ride services available.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of health measures will apply to keep shoppers and sellers safe:

  • Traders participating in the "Stater Braderie" must ensure compliance with barrier gestures in their establishments (both indoors and outdoors).
  • Wearing a mask will be compulsory for Braderie customers if the required physical distance of 2 metres cannot be maintained.
