The emergency services had a busy night on Friday, intervening on 5 occasions.

One person was injured around 6pm in a collision between a car and a motorbike on rue de l'Industrie in Diekirch.

An hour later, a pedestrian was knocked down by a car on route de Thionville in Hesperange, requiring assistance from the capital's ambulance service.

At 8pm, two cars crashed into one another on rue de la Toison d'Or in Hollerich. Two people were injured in the collisions.

Early on Saturday morning, around 3 am, a car rolled over on the RN21 between Grosbous and Mertzig, coming to a halt on its roof.

The three occupants of the vehicle were injured in the incident, while a number of fire fighters and paramedics attended the scene.

Finally, at 4am, the fire service intervened in Echternach, extinguishing a motorbike which had caught fire.
