From 5pm on Saturday until 5am on Monday, the A4 motorway in the direction of Luxembourg City will be closed between the Lallange interchange and the Esch junction.
Motorists travelling from the south to the capital over the weekend will need to allow additional time for a detour.
During this period, the National Roads Authority will carry out roadway renewal works between the Lallange interchange and the Esch junction. The motorway will be closed to traffic at this location. The detour will route motorists via the CR170A, the CR170, the CR168, the CR169, and the Schifflange interchange.
Preparatory works for the construction site will begin a few hours before the closure takes effect. As a result, motorists should already expect traffic disruptions from Saturday afternoon.
