An incident occurring on Rue de l'Industrie in Bertrange on Saturday morning (24 August) caused some controversy when it came to the details of how exactly the accident unfolded.
Officers noted that, not only was the driver implicated under the influence, but the testing procedure revealed her blood content levels were way above the legal limit. The woman's licence was revoked.
Around 1am in the night leading on to Sunday, an accident occurred on the N10 in Remerschen. While the police were not called to the scene, they became aware of the incident during a routine patrol.
Luckily, no one was injured - aside from the vehicle itself - although it turned out that in this case too, the driver was under the influence. In this instance too, the driver was relieved of his licence.
