Coaching by ADEMADEM supports unemployed people in their job search

Sylviane lost her job two years ago and found herself in a situation that many other people in Luxembourg can relate to.

Roughly 15,400 people in Luxembourg are currently signed up with ADEM. Twice a year, ADEM organises Coaching, which is a Europe-wide project financed by EURES.

Coaching is supposed to support the unemployed in their job search. Many unemployed people don't know where to start, as many of them have not worked for a long time, or a very young and have limited or no experience.

At Coaching, they are shown how to present themselves to employers or how to write a CV. Following the last project, 50% of participants found a job after Coaching.

The big highlight of the Coaching event was the so called "Relooking", where people were able to get their hair and their make up done. The aim, of course, was to produce a nice photo for the CV. Next on the to-do list is finding a job, and in three months, ADEM will check whether candidates have found employment.
