Delays in contact tracingAuto-isolation or quarantine recommended in certain cases

RTL Today
Further details were given Thursday night about auto quarantine or auto isolation for those who have tested positive or show symptoms.

People who have tested positive are still being contacted by the Health Inspection division, but there are currently some delays. It is therefore recommended that people remain at home as soon as a positive result is received. Everyone gets a reference number from the Health Inspection, which people they have been in contact with can use to obtain a prescription for quarantine and a Covid test.

People showing symptoms are also advised to stay at home while awaiting their test results.

Anyone who had a "risky" contact with someone who has tested positive should also auto-quarantine. Risky means speaking to someone for over 15 minutes less than 2 meters apart and not (or incorrectly) wearing a mask.

They will be tested from day 6 after contact.

Auto-isolation or isolation for Covid patients are in force for 10 days. People living under the same roof as an infected person or having intimate relations with them should quarantine for 7 days.

People who have quarantined are advised to be particularly vigilant about distancing and mask wearing for another week after the quarantine ends.
