It's one of the key dates in each volleyball enthusiast's calendar. Esch's Volleyball Club organised the 25th edition of the Luxembourg Beach Open at the municipal Galgenberg park in Esch-sur-Alzette.
More than 1,000 tonnes of sand were delivered to the park, transforming the usually lush park into a sporty playground of superlatives.
75 teams and nearly 400 players competed for glory. Live music, chilly cocktails and jacuzzis also entertained those less interested in the sandy ball bonanza.
