
According to a press release, ArcelorMittal's Belval, Differdange and Rodange sites are seeing gradual downscaling of activities, heading towards a complete standstill.
From 20 March the three facilities will gradually close until the complete suspension of production. Currently this period of inactivity is planned to last seven days.
The steel company set up teleworking for their administrative employees and organised travel certificates for cross-border employees to ensure the continuation of industrial production.
Strict sanitary measures are in place for the last available workforce to meet needs and standards of the market and customers, the press release stated.
