In the early hours of Saturday morning, at around 2am, police received reports of a break-in at a shopping centre in Kirchberg. The suspect gained access to the building via a back door and was captured on CCTV walking along the ground floor of the shopping centre. He headed to the electronics aisle and began filling a bag with devices, until a security guard intercepted him and held him there until police arrived. The man was arrested by order of the public prosecutor’s office.

On Sunday, a motorist was caught speeding 146 km/h in a 90 km zone on the A13, near Frisange tunnel. The individual was caught by police conducting speed checks on the motorway, and was made to hand over his licence on the spot.
