The burglar triggered the alarm of a jewellery shop on Rue Grand Duchesse Charlotte in Mersch on Thursday evening. A police patrol witnessed how the suspect shattered a window and stole jewellery. The burglar tried to take off but was located by police shortly later.
The intoxicated burglar was carrying break-in tools. The public prosecutor's office ordered his arrest. The suspect faced an examining magistrate on Thursday.
