A mere 40 minutes separated the two incidents, which occurred in the Moselle region on Thursday night. Two vehicles were impacted by the flames, and the emergency services spoke of other incidents on Friday morning.
Firefighters were first called to Schwebsange where a lorry had caught fire on the N10. Shortly afterwards, a car was reported on fire in Wintrange, near the CR152.
The police have opened an investigation into the causes of these two incidents.
