Earlier that same morning, shortly before 3am, a fire had already broken out in a room of a dwelling in rue Leegrond in Schuttrange.
Around 10pm on Thursday evening, a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car in rue Principale in Hagen. The driver attempted to swerve but could not prevent the collision, and crashed into the façade of a nearby house. The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver was treated for shock.
An accident also occurred on the RN10 between Bettel and Vianden at around 10pm on Thursday. For reasons that remain unclear, a driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a wall. One person was injured in the incident.
