In Fennange, a motorist on the Route d’Esch suddenly noticed his car was on fire. Although Bettembourg fire fighters soon arrived on the scene, they were unable to prevent the vehicle from completely burning out. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result.

During this incident, police at the scene were forced to arrest a moped rider who ignored the roadblock in place, attempting to bypass it by driving down the pavement. An inspection ensued, in which officers noted that he was unable to provide valid insurance, resulting in the confiscation of the moped and a fine.
Elsewhere on the CR176 between Differdange and Rodange, the fire brigade attended to a parked car which had caught fire, resulting in material damage. An investigation was launched.

Finally, the police report confirmed that officers were called out to a shopping centre in Bertrange at around 6pm, where two drunken individuals were causing trouble. One such intoxicated person was deemed to be a risk to himself and others and was taken into custody in order to sober up.
