October 1 marks the International Day of Older Persons. Whilst during the Covid-19 crisis the focus is often drawn to the vulnerable status of older persons, it is easy to forget that they form an integral part of society.
They have not only been actively offering comfort and support during the crisis by sewing and handing out masks, teaching online classes, and giving support over the phone, but they have also been able to actively take part in daily life.
Through a series of 12 video testimonials filmed this year in Luxembourg, in which we meet an array of elderly people from around the Grand Duchy, RBS hopes to draw attention to the work and role of Luxembourg's older population. The series, which was funded by the Ministry for Family and Integration, can be viewed on RBS' YouTube channel here.
