
According to the citizens' initiative, a number of pertinent questions around the project remain unanswered: What is there to gain? What are the impacts on the living conditions for those living in the surroundings? What about the centre's water consumption?
Unfortunately, the citizens of Bissen would not have been given any insight into the environmental studies conducted around the area. Transparency of municipal and state policies should thus be improved, the committee concludes. Projects of comparable size should not be authorised without properly consulting with those living in a concerned area.
