Committees planned for this week have now been cancelled, while the Chamber assembly will be restricted to just one day, not two, on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Minister of Health, Paulette Lehnert, are expected to make an announcement regarding the coronavirus to MPs at 2pm on Tuesday. The different parties will then be invited to speak.
The assembly itself will be subjected to special measures - rather than convening in the large assembly rooms, MPs will be kept at safe distances in other rooms during the announcement.
All MPs aged 65 and over have been automatically excused from attending the assembly as part of the safety measures introduced on Sunday.
The parliamentary session planned for Wednesday, originally meant to cover six topics of discussion, has been cancelled.
Parliament administration will carry on as usual.
