Murder trialCourt of Appeals prosecution also demands life in prison for defendant

RTL Today
The defendant in the case stands accused of having planned and carried out the murder of his 48-year-old ex-wife. In a first trial, he was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

The first trial ended about seven month ago at a Luxembourg City court, and the trial at the Court of Appeals doesn't seem like it wil change much about the outcome of the first trial.

The prosecution again demanded life in prison for the now 59-year old man. He stands accused of having murdered his ex-wife in 2015. The victim was gunned down with six shots in the backyard of a house in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The Court of Appeals will pass a verdict on 12 February.
