The ministry for mobility issued a joint press release with Luxairport to announce the introduction of Covid flash tests: "Upon arrival at Findel airport, every passenger will receive a voucher, either to be used for a PCR or a flash test."
Authorities guarantee that the results of the latter will be available no longer than three hours after conducting the test. Both tests remain free of charge and can be taken on voluntary basis.
To this date, the ministry estimates that around 30% of travellers made use of the airport testing station. Hopes are now that this number will grow with the introduction of flash tests.
While the PCR station is located at the exit of the arrival hall, the new station will be installed in the departure hall. Opening hours have been adapted to current flight schedules to facilitate services.
