The cyclist hit an elderly woman after she began crossing the road from between two parked cars. Both people were injured in the incident, reported the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps. The woman had fallen to the ground and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. First responders and an ambulance attended the scene.
An electrical transformer caught fire on Rue Buschrodt in Pratz at 6.30pm. No one was affected by the fire, which was put out by the Grosbous and Préizerdaul fire services.
At 4.20pm a scrap metal heap was reported on fire at the ArcelorMittal site in Differdange. Schifflange, Sanem-Differdange and Pétange fire fighters were called to the incident, which was sorted without causing injuries.
