In another incident on Thursday, a driver was caught speeding after midnight, they did not have a valid license and also had no valid reason to be out past curfew.

Shortly before 6.30 pm, a crash involving a cyclist and a car occurred on the intersection Rue Galileo Galilei and Rue du Fort Thüngen in Luxembourg City. The right-of-way had not been respected and the cyclist had to be taken to hospital. Both the driver and the cyclist had to take a breathalyser test, which proved that the latter was in fact inebriated. As a result, the cyclist was fined.

At around 6.45 pm, the police received reports of a drunk driver in Lorentzweiler. A patrol was able to locate the individual and the subsequent alcohol test confirmed that the driver was intoxicated. The officers confiscated the driving licence on the spot.

Police also report that the driver who crashed their car into a tree on the CR123 between Cruchten and Colmar-Berg had had too much to drink and was fined as a result.

Shortly after midnight, a car stood out to a police patrol in Esch-sur-Alzette due to its driver's erratic driving style. The officers decided to pursue the driver, who was driving too fast through residential areas. Once the officers managed to pull over the vehicle, they noticed that the driver had changed seats with the front passenger. Upon enquiry, the French police confirmed that the driver did not own a valid driving licence. The vehicle was seized on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and the driver was fined. Police also issued fines to the two passengers, as they had all violated the curfew.
