The driver in question stopped briefly after hitting the cyclist and asked about their well-being. Upon hearing that the person felt fine, he drove away from the scene.
The police department Diekirch/Vianden made an appeal to the driver to contact them via telephone (+352 244 801000) or via mail (police.diekirchvianden@police.etat.lu).
The car was a light-grey Peugeot SUV, potentially the model 3008, with a Luxembourgish license plate. Witnesses of the accident are also asked to contact the police department.
