Disruptions on two of Luxembourg's main railway lines are expected to persist until Thursday, following a technical fault that has affected services since Monday, 22 June.
The Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL) confirmed on Wednesday that the ongoing heatwave has prevented all necessary repairs from being carried out in Berchem. As a result, services on the Luxembourg City–Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg City–Thionville/Metz lines remain disrupted.
CFL has assured passengers that repair work will take place overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, with additional operations scheduled for Thursday morning. Normal service is not expected to resume before midday on Thursday. Until then, passengers should expect delays and cancellations.
