Since the barrier lake in the Upper Sûre Natural Park always attracts numerous visitors over the summer months, the administration released guidelines as a reminder to respect the area. After all, the barrier lake is responsible for a quarter of the Grand Duchy's potable water reserves.
A few essential rules need to be respected. It is prohibited to dump waste in the area, recycling bins can be found all around. If containers are full, people are asked to dispose of their trash at home. Barbecues are only allowed in designated areas. Dogs are not allowed on the beaches and camping is prohibited as well.
