Close to Scheierbierg at the Wellenstein junction, two cars crashed into each other. The driver of a car coming from Remich didn't manage to evade another vehicle turning at the junction. Both cars were severely damaged by the impact.
Two people were severely injured in the crash had had to be treated at the scene before being transported to hospital.
One of the drivers injured in the crash was found to have been under the influence at the time of the crash. One of the drivers with severe injuries could not take the breathalyzer test, so blood a blood test had to be carried out.
Both vehicles were impounded by police officers.
