When the officers finally caught up with the errant driver at the station car park, he declared that his car had not passed its technical inspection. The man was visibly over the limit, to the extent that his vehicle was clamped and he was served with a provisional driving ban. His licence was confiscated on the spot.

Another motorist was surprised by police in Luxembourg City, between Boulevard Roosevelt and Pont Adolphe, when he was caught speeding while in a drunken state. His licence was also confiscated.
