Police were alerted at around 8.30pm on Monday that a man was driving on Rue Pierre Schuetz despite a current driving ban. Officers found the vehicle shortly afterwards at his home and seized it on the public prosecutor’s orders. A report was filed and an investigation has been launched.

Shortly before midnight, police ran a speed check on the A4 near Pontpierre, where a temporary 70km/h limit applies. One driver was recorded at 123km/h and had their licence confiscated on the spot.

At 1.50am on Tuesday, police carried out another speed check on Route d’Arlon in Strassen. A motorist was clocked at 89km/h in a 50km/h zone. Further checks showed the driver was under the influence of alcohol, and a provisional driving ban was issued.
