The Grand Ducal police dealt with two traffic incidents in the early hours of Friday morning.

The first involved a speeding vehicle in Strassen, which was pulled over by a police patrol at 3.15am.

The second occurred on Route de Neudorf in Weimerskirch, as police were notified of an accident at around 6.20am. A driver had crashed into a parked vehicle after falling asleep at the wheel.

Officers at the scene had to wake the driver up, at which point they realised he was heavily intoxicated. He was made to hand over his licence following a positive breathalyser test.
