One person was stopped on the A4 in Esch-sur-Alzette at the roundabout “Raemerich” whilst police were carrying out a routine control on Saturday night.
The officers suspected that the man was driving under the influence. The breathalyser test was positive, and his driving license was seized on the spot.
Just before midnight a person was reported to the police who was seemingly asleep behind the wheel while the engine was still running.
Police officers arrived on the scene in the Grand rue in Berchem. It turned out the person was indeed asleep. Officers also noticed a potent alcohol smell and carried out a breathalyser test. They found that the driver had consumed double the legal amount of alcohol. They duly confiscated the driving license.
