
Two men had started fighting in a bar in rue de Strasbourg. One of them had taken out a knife, however, the dispute did not turn violent.
Once on site, the officers searched the man and ended up finding the knife. Since the man, who was visibly intoxicated, represented a danger to himself and others, he was placed in a drunk tank for the night. The other person had left the scene before the arrival of the police.
On Wednesday evening, a woman was beaten and robbed by an unknown culprit in Avenue Charles de Gaulle in Luxembourg City. The victim was also threatened and insulted. The suspect, who had fled on a bicycle, was intercepted by police in rue de la Paix. During the check, the officers discovered the stolen smartphone and a weapon. A complaint has been filed against the culprit.
At the Luxembourg City railway station, a man, who was accompanied by a woman, hit another passer-by, after the latter had insulted him.
A security guard, who was making a round of the station, managed to restrain the violent man until the police arrived. In the meantime, however, the guard was attacked and punched in the face by the man's girlfriend. It turned out that the couple had been attacked shortly before by a group of young men on place de la Gare.
The woman, who could not calm down and was inebriated, was taken to a drunk tank. The security guard sustained facial injuries. A complaint has been filed for both incidents.
