The municipal authorities wanted to react quickly and restore the park to its former glory.
However, the wind was quickly taken out of their sails. The municipality was held up administratively, and since 5 October they have been waiting for an answer from the Ministry of Culture. Without an answer, no repair work can be done - yet the park is the property of the Luxembourg state.
Tourists and residents always like to go for a walk in this park to relax from the daily stress. At the moment, however, the former monastery park presents a sad picture.
Mini golf and tennis are not possible at the moment. After the floods, these two sites look catastrophic. The damage is estimated at 400,000 euros.
