The patient lying on the isolation stretcher, also called "Epi-Shuttle", is surrounded by a transparent sheet and can be connected to a ventilator if required.
Norwegian doctors are behind the design of the "Epi-Shuttle", which was invented three years ago and has a price tag of €60,000.
An isolation chamber was also installed in one of Air Rescue's planes. Transport is now possible even if the patient has a highly infectious disease.
