CSV national assemblyExpert groups to help reorient the party's position on tax reforms

RTL Today
The assembly was not held online, as has so often become custom lately, but in person and in presence of 40 party members.

The stakes at the CSV assembly were certainly higher than on previous occasions, following the recent controversy caused by president Frank Engel and his open support for a potential tax reform, which stands in opposition with the conservative principles of his party.

RTL sources conveyed that the meeting went rather quick and without major interruptions. It was further noted that no point of order was followed during the meeting, which was mainly used to form task forces and expert groups, which will tackle certain problem areas, such as the party's position on tax reforms.

Solutions to these issues are set to be presented during the CSV online congress on 17 October and put up for a vote.
