
The government will cover all construction costs of the sewage extension, a support which it always provides in the country's industrial zones. Minister Fayot elaborated on the issue when replying to a parliamentary inquiry by Bettembourg councilwoman and MP Josée Lorsché (déi Gréng). Fayot was however unable to indicate whether or not the government would also cover the costs of the study on the environmental impacts of the dairy factory.
In an interview with RTL, Fayot acknowledged the concerns about the pending construction. He further noted that the discussions on the issue had been conducted by his predecessor Etienne Schneider four years ago before he came into office. Fayot argued that if he were to receive a similar offer, he would think about it with great care and caution.
When it comes to the sale of land to Fage three years ago, an analysis is currently being made by the audit court.
