The family business on Grand Rue is closing its doors after 73 years.

In an official statement, Tapis Hertz writes that they will close in November in order to redistribute its activities. The main reasons are changing consumer habits, online competition, the lack of parking and the change in the business world.

The shop by the Helfenter Bridge is set to sell curtains in addition to carpets in the future. The second shop is located in Belle Etoile in Bertrange.

The Grand Rue shop in Luxembourg City will officially close its doors when the lease runs out in November.
