"The FHL thanks the population for the many efforts and sacrifices made over the past months", the press release reads. But we should not let our guard down "to jeopardise the downward trend in the number of newly infected observed in recent days".

The federation would like to remind reducing "social interactions to a minimum while scrupulously respecting barrier gestures, wearing a mask and physical distancing of two metres".

They are words that will resonate with the many residents and cross-border workers who have done everything possible to avoid falling ill.

The FHL affirms that the population's role in the fight against coronavirus is "decisive" and stresses that it is only by "behaving in a relentlessly responsible manner" that everyone will be able to show their solidarity with the healthcare staff of the country.

We must "keep our health system operational", the press release concludes.
